This Privacy Policy explains what personal information Clock In Car Rentals LLC (“Clock In,” “we,” “us”) collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to clockincarrentals.com and our rental services.
1. Information you give us
When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password.
When you apply to rent, we collect your full legal name, date of birth, phone number, home address, a photo of your driver’s license, a selfie holding your license, proof of personal auto insurance, and a screenshot of your recent gig earnings or work history.
When you pay, our payment processor collects and processes your payment details. We do not store full card numbers on our systems.
We also keep messages and other information you send us directly.
2. Information we collect automatically
When you use the site, we collect basic device and usage information, such as log data and the pages you visit, to keep the site working and secure.
While you have an active rental, the vehicle includes GPS tracking. We receive location and basic telematics data for that vehicle during the rental period.
3. How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- Evaluate your application and verify your identity
- Run background checks and motor vehicle record checks
- Set up, bill, support, and manage your rental
- Communicate with you about your application, rental, payments, and pickup
- Protect against fraud and keep our vehicles and renters safe
- Meet our legal, tax, insurance, and recordkeeping obligations
4. How we share your information
We share information with service providers who perform work on our behalf — including website and database hosting, payment processing, email delivery, and background and driving-record screening. They may only use the information to provide services to us.
We may disclose information to comply with the law, respond to lawful requests, enforce our agreements, or protect the rights, property, and safety of Clock In, our renters, or others.
If our business is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
We do not sell your personal information.
5. How we store and protect your information
Your information is held with our infrastructure and payment providers. Uploaded documents are kept in restricted, access-controlled storage, and data is encrypted in transit. Access is limited to people who need it to run the business.
No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. How long we keep your information
We keep your information for as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy and to meet legal, tax, insurance, and recordkeeping requirements. Application documents and rental records may be retained after an application or rental ends to satisfy those obligations.
7. Your choices and rights
You can view and update your account information from your dashboard. You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing us.
We will honor reasonable requests, but we may need to keep certain records for legal, insurance, or fraud-prevention reasons even after a request.
8. Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to operate the site. We do not currently run third-party advertising trackers. Blocking essential cookies may prevent parts of the site from working.
9. Children
Our services are for adults 21 and older. The site is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “last updated” date above. Significant changes may also be communicated by email.
